Our Princess has passed away.
Thoughts go out to her family, friends and fans.

I seriously hate 2016. Nothing good.

Oh, I did not want to wake up to a world without Carrie. Her contribution will be long celebrated and remembered.

Sad news indeed  sorry to see her go.
She'll be forever remembered in the most memorable movies ever Star Wars and blues brothers among others.

I grew up with so few heroes in pop culture, let alone any as practical, able to handle everything from fixing the Falcon to just zooming off on a speeder, and also funny, and acerbic as Leia.

So glad that her performances endure, as do her words. It's hard knowing she's no longer here.

i did admire carries frankness and honesty when she spoke often of her struggles with addiction and the like.
her recent writings are good reads,i did draw inspiration from a few of her thoughts.
i beat my own demons and put them to bed a couple of years ago, [YAY!] so i greatly admire carries personal fight,
but more so,the message that she carried with her in her later writings.

rest easy, princess.

I got married this year, otherwise it's been pretty damn sh***y.

We were driving to my wife's uncle's place on Christmas Eve when the news of her heart attack broke. We stopped for petrol and my wife said she had "some news" to tell me. I think I dealt with her death in advance, over Christmas etc, knowing it was coming.

I just took my wife to see Rogue One (my second, her first). I'd told her in advance about CGI Leia. At the end she said "she doesn't look that bad", she turned to see me in tears.

She had been through so much and was such a talent. Time to find her books :(
