Episode III anniversary

I was just recently cleaning through some old boxes of stuff, and I came across our 'Revenge of the Sith' charity premiere tickets. Can't believe it was 6 years ago now.
Did anybody else go along to premiere or opening weekend events for Episode III?

It'll be good to have Star Wars back on the big screen where it belongs

Midnight screening at Regent in Wellington for me. Come to think of it, there were a few members of the 501st there that night (a Vader, Fett and two stormys). Don't suppose it was anyone from these boards?

I always see the few movies I watch in cinemas during the normal weekday sessions when it's MUCH quieter and emptier ... not only is parking much easier, but you often get the entire room to yourself or with only a couple of other people, as well as one day of the week having cheaper ticket prices.

We did Wairau Park in costume for the midnight and opening weekend screenings. Did Newmarket or Westgate engage in any interesting fanfare or promotion?
I don't think I've seen any photos from the Wellington premiere...did you happen to take any Archon?
Here are a couple of us at Wairau Park at midnight.

They had an orchestra to play music from the SW soundtracks.

Awesome pictures Matt. I think that's one of the main reasons I'm looking forward to the 3D re-releases. Regardless of your views on 3D-ising the saga, it's going to be great to have an excuse to get dressed up and go and see the films on the big screen again.

Unfortunately I didn't have a camera on me, but I did manage to get a few grainy pxts on my old phone.
